We are really excited to be part of the popular Monsoon Scooter Rally, to be held next weekend. This was a logical step for us since we ventured into manufacturing two-wheeler tyres. After all, most of India rides on scooters and we want to create a professional setup for this vertical as well. This rally is unique because its held during monsoon, in is slushy and challenging terrains. The organizer follows international safety measures which is a hallmark of our rallying programme. Scooter racers can look forward to a new dawn, with our entry.

Lately, we have been trying to draw women into motorsports, and our all-women's team in 4wheelers and the Rally to the Valley are a huge success. Scooters are very popular with women so we are confident they will take it up soon. There are already three ladies in the fray but our grid target is 30%. Soon, we will have a scooter training programme too at our academies. Once the girls hit the track and get familiar with regulations and racing techniques, they will compete with boys as equals.

This year's rally, to be held in Nashik, has drawn top riders from the country. I believe the route is treacherous but the participants are gung-ho. I wish each of them the best.

After the initiation in karting, from age 8 to 14, one is ready to move to the next level: single-seater formula racing. In India, you begin with LGB Formula cars, the most economical way to learn racing in a real environment.

There are many teams/academies that train and sharpen your skills. Know more from the Kari Speedway (Coimbatore) and MMRT (Chennai), and the Buddh International Circuit near Delhi. The teams are run by former champions and, once you prove yourself, you can hope for subsidized or fully-paid seats in the nationals too.
